Logopedists

The Hospital has 5 logopedists who follow the speaking development and articulation abilities of the child. This follow up starts from the nurseling age with early diagnosis of the abilities for feeding, swallowing, chewing, etc., and makes conclusion for possible articulation and speaking problems in the future.

The logopedic intervention in the Hospital starts if necessary from the nurseling age under the form of feeding therapy, which corrects and supports the position of the tongue in the mouth cavity. There are used a complex of methods grouped in a system for pre-speaking rehabilitation.

Individual and/or group therapy are used after discussion with the psychologist and the head of the department.

The consultations with the parents provide recommendations and a program for work at home. The group exercises use elements of the music-therapy.
